The Painted Pony Resort

An Escape To Tranquil Beauty

The Painted Pony Resort is a 750+ acre high desert Resort and Ranch in Hidalgo County of southern New Mexico just up the road from Rodeo, NM.  This unique and isolated part of the country is known as the boot heel of New Mexico.

PPR, “An Escape to Tranquility,” provides you and your guests with space to enjoy privacy while also having large areas for mingling and getting together for dinners, parties and other events.

Our Guests are impressed with the quiet, peaceful setting and the natural beauty of our night sky.  We have skies that are clear and dark enough to explore the many fascinating jewels of the night

PPR is far removed from the pressures of the urban environment, being off the beaten path our Resort is the perfect place to unplug.  State land borders the north and west sides of the property and federal lands cover the mountains both east and west, creating vast open spaces with quiet solitude.

The Painted Pony Resort is the former estate of a multi-talented Silicon Valley Entrepreneur who designed and built this New Mexico desert getaway in a mystical valley between two towering mountain ranges.

With our help and your imagination, this luxurious estate becomes your desert oasis in Rodeo, New Mexico, in the nation’s land of enchantment.

Transform Painted Pony Resort into your own private desert vacation home.  The possibilities are exciting!

We are located in Rodeo, NM about 75 minutes North of the historic mining towns of Bisbee and Tombstone, AZ.  Also, near by is the Geronimo Roadside Monument and Douglas, AZ, home of the historic Gadsden Hotel. 90 minutes North is Silver City, NM and the beautiful Gila Wilderness, where you will find the Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument.    To our East are the Chiricahua Mountains and the Peloncillo mountain range is to the West.  A short drive down the road is Portal, AZ.  Near by are Cave Creek Canyon, Chiricahua National Monument, Rustler's Park, the Coronado National Forrest and the unspoiled Rucker Canyon.
